Install SSL on cPanel.
Install a certificate using the hosting panel's SSL/TLS controls.
Before you begin: use an issued production certificate and its matching private key. Back up the current configuration. Staging certificates are not publicly trusted.
1Open your hosting panel
In cPanel, open Security, then SSL/TLS. Choose Manage SSL sites under Install and Manage SSL for your site. This is your hosting provider's panel, not an account with this certificate service.
2Select the domain and paste the files
Paste cert.pem into Certificate (CRT), privkey.pem into Private Key (KEY), and chain.pem into Certificate Authority Bundle (CABUNDLE). Include the BEGIN and END lines. Select the matching domain.
3Install and check
Choose Install Certificate, then check https://your-domain in a browser and use the SSL Checker. Panel availability depends on your hosting plan. Configure renewal with your host if available.
Confirm the connection.
Check the installed certificate and chain, then keep an eye on the expiry date.
